Belize Day Six:

Did not wake up to fireworks again this morning, hallelujah! It was a nice morning today in Guatemala. It was not too hot and not too cold pretty much the entire day. For breakfast we had eggs with tomatoes in it and a tortilla with beans on it. We went to the same pasta place that we went to the other day for dinner because the owner loved having us so much and the food was delicious as usual.
After breakfast, we went to the Village to help out the people there one last time before we set off. There were two groups this time. The computer group worked on fixing the medical centers laptops and the Kenyon group worked on giving people water filters so that they can have clean water to use and drink. Today was the first time that I got to work hands on with computers since I have been to college and it was a lot of fun and pretty difficult since they were all in Spanish but the team managed to fix all but two of them which was really great. The computers they had had videos on all of them for specific grades. Like 5th grade videos were on certain amount of computers and so on. Each video used between 1-3GB on the hard drive because of the quality and how they put them on the computer. So we took a huge hard drive and put all of the videos on there so that we can make a server where they can easily access the videos without using up so much data.
After we were done we packed up everything and went back to the hotel to rest for the rest of the day. When we came back, we had about an hour to get ready and rest before heading to dinner. We ended up going back to that same place we had for breakfast because they told our professor that they would give us a good deal for some good chicken and holy chicken is was good! It also came with rice and cooked vegetables.
Dinner was over and everyone went their separate ways again. I went with some people to try and look for some souvenirs because today was our last day to get anything but unfortunately, every market place had the exact same thing and nothing that I liked. I thought about going to the mall but I found out from another group that it was closed for the night so that was not an option. So me and some people just walked around for a while and enjoyed the festival while we still could. Tomorrow we are going to visit some more ruins that are like 14 miles long but we are only doing half because we need to get back to Belize in one piece so I'm pretty excited about to see what those are like.
